RESPONSIBILITIES

As a leader in his domain of expertise and with internal teams constantly growing, our client is looking to fill a newly created position of Product Manager. Reporting to the National Director of Sales, this key role will be responsible for managing the Mill Liner products (Composite and Rubber liners), regarding the technical sales & project execution, with the objective to provide the highest level of service to the customers. This person will also:

  • Provide technical and sales support to the Account Managers during the sales process related to Mill Liners for Grinding Mills opportunities in the Canadian market
  • Manage project execution along with Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing to ensure schedule is on track
  • Act as the main contact with customer to ensure compliance with the order requirements, Q.A. as well as issuing status progress
  • Maintain accurate records and reports covering new and existing projects
  • Visit customers, as well as foundries, and rubber manufacturing suppliers involved with the projects under his responsibility
  • Provide site assistance during product installation as well as during inspection (scanning) for wear evaluation
  • Get involved defining market strategy and its implementation
  • Read, analyze, and interpret operational data as well as drawings technical specifications
  • Effectively write and present information related to process and product development, both internally and to the clients

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Solid experience in the mining industry and knowledge of mineral process
  • Minimum of 10 years of comminution and field service experience
  • Very good level of competencies and technical Expertise with foundry/rubber manufacturing
  • Project execution background and knowledge of MS Project
  • Well versed with other MS Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Have valid driver license and passport and available for travelling within Canada and occasionally at the international level
