CLIENT DESCRIPTION

Our client is a Quebec company boasting a solid reputation, developed over a period of more than 30 years, and is a leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of products for the hotel industry. In addition to providing high quality products and innovative solutions, the organization reflects its clientele as it focuses on excellent customer service. The company is a leader in its sector across North America, Central America, and Europe, offering value added smart technological solutions.

Having seen its sales quadruple in the last 2 years. The company is now looking to prepare for its second phase of growth and to do so, it wishes to hire a person who will act as a IT Technical Support, and who will be the single point of contact to support all its customers. This role is a brand-new position and reports directly to the VP of Sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist users with technical issues such as functionality problems, software errors and technical computer problems
  • Provide support in the installation and configuration of software for computers and other computer equipment that will be interacting with the proposed equipment & solutions
  • Set up procedures for customer training purposes
  • Troubleshoot network problems as needed
  • Provide troubleshooting to customers in crisis situations
  • Update and install new software versions when necessary
  • Create and manage remote user accounts
  • Authorize single administrator access for all solutions sold by the company
  • Backup data in the event of a system failure
  • Monitor system performance and diagnose technical problems
  • Document problems and solutions in a technical support log
  • Educate all users on software, applications and equipment that require technical training

REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma in computer science
  • At least 2-5 years’ experience in a Level 1 and 2 technical support role
  • Very good technical problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-disciplined and self-directed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages (French & English)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Thorough knowledge of general computer terms and navigation skills
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to multi-task
  • Experience in project management will be considered an asset for this position
  • Knowledge of CRM type applications, specifically Odoo software
  • Attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of a wide range of software and hardware products

  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally as needed (approximately 10% of the time)
