To respond effectively to the needs and interests of its community, our client wishes to facilitate the interrelationship between the stakeholders of its ecosystem by implementing a technological platform. This will ensure the marketing and sale of new products and services, as well as their management and distribution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this context, the organization is looking for a Director to manage its new Customer Insight and Business Intelligence department. The person sought will mainly be responsible for creating value for the company and will act as a pivot in the development and execution of business initiatives. With advanced knowledge of data mining and statistical analysis techniques, the chosen candidate will be able to identify business opportunities and in addition, he will:

Customer insight:

  • Develop, set up and analyze a dynamic database, in order to better understand the community consumer behaviors
  • Develop customer insights and recommend products and services that will meet their needs and improve their experience
  • Carry out market research and collect information on the community with the objective of continuously develop the customer database
  • Elaborate a forecast component in the database with a structured segmentation of customer behaviors, including the evolution of their consuming patterns
  • Update information on consumer trends and behaviors
  • Perform complex data processing analyzes to profile consumers
  • Develop strategic indicators of behavior and pathways of profiled customers to develop personalized communication and promotion content
  • Participate in strategic initiatives by identifying target customers and measuring the potential benefits with regards to event programs and for VIP customers

Business intelligence:

  • Build business intelligence to optimize potential revenues
  • Analyze and manage risks and issues of the business lines to set up performance indicators and develop predictive models geared towards creating value for the company
  • Evaluate potential development of the concept and the growth potential of the different business lines
  • Propose performance indicators and tools supporting decision-making
  • Carry out competitive intelligence and strategic watch activities, as well as identify opportunities for new products and services
  • Produce various reports and statistical analyzes allowing performance monitoring and measurement (customer experience program and other initiatives)
  • Actively work to improve the efficiency and profitability of the various initiatives (catering, markets, events)
  • Keep an eye on new developments in the industry and promote improvement of the systems in place and the operation model

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in role working closely with data management, customer insights and with business intelligence processes and tools
  • Very skilled at manipulating advanced techniques at targeting and profiling consumers for long term retention
  • Master at least one solution in analytical, data processing and forecasting
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good background with direct marketing and e-marketing processes
  • Strategic focus on customer insights and customer experience, as well as added value for both the community and the organization
  • Positive attitude for teamwork, autonomy, and creativity
  • Skilled communicator, in both French and English
  • Knowledge of the restaurant or retail industry would be considered an asset

  • Be flexible for business travel (mainly in Quebec)
  • New position: the incumbent will have to build his team and put in place all necessary tools for the execution of his mandate
