RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Business Development Manager will be accountable for achieving company’s sales objectives by identifying and developing new business opportunities. With strong skills in prospection and customer acquisition, he will mainly target the mining, manufacturing, and maritime markets. Its unifying leadership will enable him to rally its internal and external partners to strengthen profitable and long-lasting business relationships in the territories of Quebec, Ontario, and the Atlantic provinces. He will also:

  • Collaborate with the management team in the development and execution of sustainable strategies/action plans to gain new clients
  • Participate in the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies (responsible for its pipeline of opportunities)
  • Act as an ambassador to promote company’s products and service offerings toward partners and industry groups
  • Achieve and surpass company’s sales objectives by setting up a proactive operational plan
  • Educate clients with the organization of seminars and events, and through virtual and in-person training
  • Participate with team members in the qualification and preparation of RFPs
  • Provide collaboration to the project team to achieve a higher level of customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to the smooth running of projects/product delivery team activities, by following up with customers and secure corrective measures as needed
  • Ensure compliance with established processes and update monitoring tools (CRM) to optimize communication between teams

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

Our client is looking for a go-getter whose positive and unifying leadership will rally its internal and external partners, thus ensuring the success and sustainability of its business relationships. The ideal candidate should also meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or equivalent experience
  • Has 10 years’ experience in business development, with at least 5 years in the targeted business sectors
  • Bilingualism, both written and spoken (French and English)
  • Present strong abilities in strategic sales development
  • Must be able to present a track record of success, having surpassed sales targets on a regular basis
  • Demonstrate comfort in negotiating with clients at the executive level
  • Be able to settle agreements with strategic partners
  • Comfortable integrating an environment of teamwork in a context of sustainable growth
  • Proficiency in establishing strong and long-lasting business relationships
  • Be comfortable participating in business activities to expand network
  • At ease with the use of the computer tools such as CRM and Microsoft to ensure better internal collaboration and productivity
  • Adhere to the values ​​of the company
