CLIENT DESCRIPTION

Our client provides turnkey solutions to support patient entertainment and engagement in Canadian hospitals and long-term care facilities. Hospitals are responsible for providing healthcare services to all patients. Technology is affecting today’s healthcare environment more than ever before and having the latest technology can help healthcare providers improve patient comfort and satisfaction during their hospital stay.

As part of its strategic growth, the company is looking to position its full range of products and services in the medical sector, and to do so, is looking to hire a Business Development Manager for the Eastern Canada territory.

The ideal candidate for this position is a Quebec based individual who is self-motivated and is looking for an opportunity to drive the growth of the company in Eastern Canada. This role is an opportunity to position yourself in a fast-growing company and develop a virgin territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Development Manager – Eastern Canada will be the face of the company for the assigned region and will contribute to the development and execution of the strategic business development plan. This person will work with the management team to increase brand awareness and develop trusted customer relationships in the Eastern Canada territory.

  • Create initial contact with customers in the Eastern Canada territory.
  • Develop and increase awareness of the company in the Canadian market.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the strategic business development and marketing plan.
  • Discover and close direct and operational sales opportunities.
  • Generate over $750,000 in new sales revenue annually.
  • Act as lead or support for RFP responses, if required.
  • Support contract negotiations, if required.
  • Participate in industry networking events to raise the company’s profile.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in business development or direct sales.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable in cold conversations.
  • Proven ability to understand and convey technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening and presentation skills.
  • 100% fully bilingual (French and English).
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Experience in market research and strategy development.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

ASSETS

  • University degree in a related field of study such as business or marketing.
  • Relevant experience in selling products or services to healthcare facilities; Hospitals, Long Term Care Centers, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will be mostly on the road and based in the Longueuil office on the South Shore of Montreal. The MDO will be required to travel to client sites on a regular basis for meetings, demonstrations, or account reviews. Travel for this position can be up to 25%.

In addition, as our client is in the healthcare field, the MDO will be required to travel regularly to various healthcare facilities. Thus, for this reason, the MDO will be required to:

  • Successfully pass a criminal background check, and
  • Provide proof of vaccinations as required by Canadian health care facilities.
