ACCOUNT MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES
With the objective of positioning itself among the leaders in its sector of expertise, the organization is currently looking to hire an Account Manager who will contribute to growth strategies of its products and solutions. The incumbent will be responsible for developing new markets in the mining industry covering customers based in North West of Quebec (Abitibi) and North East of Ontario (Timmins/Sudbury area). With a background in sales and marketing, this person is expected to develop and maintain positive relationships with new, existing, and emerging customers. Responsible for achieving their sales objectives, this person will also:
- Interface with existing and potential new customers within various market sectors such as Hard Rock mining to develop and grow wear products sales volume and profitability
- Manage his accounts by developing relationships with various stakeholders: Maintenance, Production Planners, Purchasing Agents, and Facility Managers
- Identify and respond to customer concerns regarding product quality, delivery schedules, productivity or design concerns related with products
- Interact with internal staff to ensure quality, timely delivery schedules and ever improving knowledge of the customer and product requirements
- Develop quotes, proposals and respond to customer inquiries related products, designs and company operations. This could include the use of laser scanning equipment and interaction with 3D Applications Engineers
- Interact with internal service groups such as Drafting and Design and finance, as well as with the other Account Managers to assure timely response to customer needs
- Prospect for new accounts that align with growth, marketing strategy and manufacturing capabilities
- Support the company presence at various trade and technical shows and seminars
- Provide forecasts and profitability to support the company’s sales plan
- Update a CRM tool with sales activities and visit reports
REQUIREMENTS
- Sales & Marketing or Mining Engineering degree or equivalent in training and experience
- Sales and marketing experience and solid technical acumen is a must
- Strong knowledge of the mining and mineral processing industry and related crushing and grinding equipment (comminution)
- Strong, well developed communication skills, persuasive, with a professional approach
- Bilingual is mandatory for this role, both written and spoken (French, English)
- Understanding of the foundry manufacturing processes
- Appreciation for the key elements of fiscal management and finance, both from the company perspective as well as the customers. (Total Cost of Ownership)

VARIA
- The organization highly respect work-life balance, the nature of this role requires the incumbent to be available for a lot of travelling in his territory (70%)
- Since the technical aspect of this role is very important, the ideal candidate will not only need to present solid sales experience, but will be able to hold conversations with Mining Engineer and will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of mechanic in metallurgy
- Ideally, the candidate will reside in the covered geographic area
