SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

In order to support its growth and maintain an exceptional level of service to its clientele, the organization is currently seeking a Senior Account Director – Eastern Canada, which will also cover a part of Ontario up to Labrador. The ideal candidate, with proven experience in sales and marketing, will be responsible for developing strong business relationships with existing clients while prospecting for new ones. Additionally, the incumbent will need to ensure the maintenance of harmonious relationships with stakeholders such as maintenance managers, production planners, procurement agents, and facility managers, among others.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface with existing as well as potentially new customers within various market sectors such as Hard Rock Mining to develop and grow our wear products sales volume and profitability
- Identify and respond to customer concerns regarding product quality, delivery schedules, productivity, or design concerns related to our client’s products, and some other issues
- Interact with our client’s Manufacturing staff to ensure quality, timely delivery schedules, and ever-improving knowledge of the customer and product requirements
- Develop quotes, proposals, and respond to customer inquiries related to our client’s products, designs, and company operations. This will include the use of our client’s FARO laser scanning equipment and interaction with our client’s 3D Applications Engineers
- Interact with our client’s staff service groups such as Drafting and Design and finance, as well as with our client’s Account Managers to assure a timely response to customer needs
- Prospect for new accounts that align with growth, marketing strategy, and manufacturing capabilities
- Support the company’s presence at various trade and technical shows and seminars
- Provide forecasts and profitability to support the company’s sales plan.
REQUIREMENTS
- A sales & marketing degree with solid technical acumen or equivalent in training and experience.
- Sales and marketing experience
- Strong knowledge of the mining and mineral processing industry and related crushing and grinding equipment (comminution)
- Strong, well developed communication skills, both written and oral
- Highly organized and structured individual who diligently manages their travel arrangements and the CRM
- Solid skills in managing client relationships and developing major accounts
- An appreciation for the key elements of fiscal management and finance, both from the company perspective as well as the customers
- Be able to travel up to 70% of the time within the region and internationally (occasionally)
- Be able to walk, climb stairs on-site, and comply with HSE training programs as required
- Have a valid driver’s license and passport for visiting customers.
ASSETS

- To be based within the region of Toronto, Montreal or Quebec City
- Experience using FARO Scanners & Equipment’s
- An understanding of the foundry manufacturing processes.
