To support this evolution, we are looking for a Director of Operational Excellence.

This role involves working closely with the President to optimize internal processes, enhance operational performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. As a true driver of operational innovation, this person will be tasked with raising standards of quality and efficiency while maintaining close relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.

RESPONSABILITIES

Operational Optimization – Warehousing and Distribution

  • Analyze operational processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities;
  • Oversee the implementation of improvement projects in collaboration with managers;
  • Establish a project tracking structure to ensure execution;
  • Support and coach managers in executing their projects and resolving complex operational challenges;
  • Participate in the planning and organization of operations for new projects and clients as part of the bidding and launch processes;
  • Implement performance indicators to measure, analyze, and control operational costs and productivity;
  • Lead dynamic meetings to help teams solve operational problems and ensure alignment with objectives and priorities;
  • Conduct weekly site visits across various locations;
  • Monitor market trends and conduct strategic watch to anticipate industry developments;
  • Participate in the procurement process to optimize service costs and quality, ensuring strict budget tracking.

Customer Service

  • Ensure customer experience meets company standards;
  • Measure and control service quality to meet customer expectations;
  • Provide expert consulting in inventory, warehousing, and logistics management;
  • Identify growth opportunities by recognizing customer needs and proposing value-adding solutions;
  • Ensure compliance with SQF standards and customer requirements.

Facility & Equipment Management and Maintenance

  • Supervise the replacement and maintenance of mobile and handling equipment;
  • Plan and approve purchases according to operational and budgetary needs;
  • Ensure maintenance and safety of the company’s three buildings and premises;
  • Implement and oversee preventive maintenance;
  • Support the Operations Manager in bidding processes for major projects;
  • Manage relationships with building lessors and tenants.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field;
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in operations management in logistics, distribution center, or warehousing environment;
  • Proven expertise in project management and continuous improvement strategies;
  • Experience in change management and organizational transformation;
  • Ability to thrive in a growing SME environment and demonstrate agility;
  • Strong problem-solving and action-oriented mindset;
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and employees;
  • Impactful leadership, capable of mobilizing and influencing teams;
  • Proficient with ERP or WMS systems and operations-related technology;
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization;
  • Bilingual (French/English).

ASSETS

  • MBA degree;
  • Experience implementing ERP or WMS systems;
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies;
  • Experience in distribution center logistics (omnichannel, order picking & packing, inventory management, packaging).
