DIRECTOR OF HUMAN CAPITAL

Our client is a leading Quebec-based company, with its head office located in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. Specializing in custom-designed kitchen cabinets and integrated furniture, the company combines design, functionality, quality, and innovation.

As the company nears its 50th anniversary, it is entering an ambitious phase of expansion —marked by the launch of some of the most technologically advanced plants in the sector. Our client is therefore seeking a Director of Human Capital. This strategic role aims to strengthen the corporate culture and engage teams by implementing innovative HR approaches aligned with the organization’s mission and focused on professional fulfillment.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Advise management and leaders as a strategic HR expert;
- Support teams daily in implementing the best HR practices;
- Develop and implement talent attraction, retention, and engagement initiatives;
- Actively participate in the implementation and monitoring of health and safety initiatives to promote a culture of prevention and well-being;
- Contribute to talent development through coaching, training, and supporting teams;
- Manage the immigration processes for employees;
- Maintain a healthy and harmonious work environment;
- Handle grievances and labor relations in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement;
- Actively participate in the renewal of the collective bargaining agreement;
- Ensure fair management of positions, compensation, and performance;
- Produce and analyze HR reports for management;
- Coordinate medical and administrative follow-ups with external partners.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field;
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role;
- Experience working in a unionized environment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Mobilizing leadership skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities;
- Experience in HR management within a manufacturing environment;
- Strong advocate for employer branding and company culture;
- Skills in change management and organizational transformation;
- Mastery of modern and innovative HR practices;
- Knowledge of health, safety, and wellness issues in the workplace;
- Ability to align HR strategies with business objectives;
- Sensitivity to sustainable development and company values;
- Strong autonomy, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
