BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE
CLIENT DESCRIPTION
Our customer is a Quebec-based company whose mission is to design, manufacture and distribute specialized products for the agricultural, construction and snow removal industries. Their deep commitment to producing exceptionally high-quality and innovative equipment is accompanied by pride in their position among industry players. The products, designed entirely in Quebec, are meticulously crafted by a team of over sixty highly skilled employees.
With 2 production facilities spanning over 45,000 square feet, the company aims for exponential growth, with the goal of doubling its revenue in the coming years.
In the pursuit of their fast growth, the company is looking to add a Sales and Business Development Representative to support its growth across North America. This individual will be responsible for the business development activities in Toronto and the GTA area, up to the Niagara Peninsula and occasionally the Northeast of the United States.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop new customers within a designated territory.
- Expand B2B customer base and OEM’s network.
- Identify new prospects within a given territory.
- Nurture and organically grow existing customers while introducing new products.
- Qualify prospects and convert them into real opportunities.
- Manage the business development territory in a planned and structured manner.
- Engage in representation activities with current and potential clients.
- Gather information from potential clients through phone inquiries, in-person visits, and networking events, etc.
- Establish and compile user profiles based on the products used and services required by them.
- Contribute to the establishment of new market development activities for the company’s products and services.
- Collaborate on strategies, orientations, and activities related to sales development for the company’s various business sectors.
- Maintain the brand image of our client in line with the company’s values.
- Ensure high-level customer service, including after-sales service.
- Keep your knowledge up to date on all of our client’s products.
- Participate in various industry-relevant training.
- Produce various reports, provide expense accounts, and sales activity reports.
- Collaborate in coordinating and tracking sales with the production department.
- Close sales when the client has given verbal and/or written approval (CLOSING).
- Participate in representation and training activities required for manufacturers and other suppliers of the company’s products and services.
- Represent the company at events, networking activities, and trade shows.
REQUIREMENTS
- Hold a college diploma in a relevant field.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in a B2B business development role or in the industrial sector.
- Have relevant experience in sales and customer service.
- Have knowledge in the manufacturing industry.
- Possess excellent business development skills (PROSPECTING).
- Have a good knowledge of computer software such as the Office Suite.
- Prioritize quality customer service.
- Excellent communication (verbal & written).
- Excellent negotiation and sales closing skills.
- Maintain harmonious interpersonal communications.
- Handle stress and emotions effectively.
- Be able to travel regularly to clients (primarily on the road).
- Fully bilingual.
