CLIENT DESCRIPTION

Our client is the North American leader in the manufacturing of specialized products, offering tailor-made solutions for optimizing storage and warehousing. Their wide range of services meets the diverse needs of their clients, whether it’s equipment storage, document archiving, or secure storage solutions for weapons and ammunition. With quality at the core of their priorities, the company has made significant investments in research and development to stay at the forefront of innovation. They aim to meet the specific requirements of sectors such as public safety, finance, law, education, healthcare, as well as professional and amateur sports environments.

To strengthen its presence in Quebec and maintain its leadership status in Canada, the company is currently seeking a Business Development Representative. This position is based in Montreal and reports directly to the Vice President of Sales for Quebec. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to achieve sales targets in the Quebec region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Solicit introductory meetings to develop new business opportunities;
  • Prepare solutions and craft business proposals for clients;
  • Prepare bids and respond to RFPs and RFQs;
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with office furniture retailers;
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with general construction contractors;
  • Participate in networking activities with various associations (ARMA, IFMA);
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to establish contacts and generate new leads;
  • Produce activity reports on your sales pipeline and opportunities;
  • Input all sales activities and opportunities with clients into a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system;
  • Ensure proper project management, adhering to established budgets and timelines;
  • Create design layouts using 3D software (basic training provided).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ideally holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and business development within the B2B sector;
  • Focused on strategic development and prospecting for new business opportunities;
  • Familiar with the bidding and tender processes;
  • Strong communicator, both in French and English, with excellent oral and written skills;
  • Proficient with key software tools (Office 365, SharePoint, Salesforce, Zoho);
  • Positive attitude toward teamwork, with autonomy and creativity.
