CLIENT DESCRIPTION

As part of its ambitious growth plan, our client aims to expand its security division and is seeking to recruit a Western Account manager for its smart lock’s solutions. The primary focus of this role will be to spearhead the development of Western Canada by effectively positioning the company’s comprehensive range of intelligent lock solutions. The territory covered by the incumbent will be British Colombia, Alberta, and the Saskatchewan.

Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Canadian Sales, the new employee will be responsible for developing markets such as (MDU’s) multi-dwelling unit buildings, general contractors, real estate developers, retirement homes, seniors’ residences, mining camps, student housing and the hospitality sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and seize business opportunities allowing him or her to meet and exceed the company’s growth objectives in those markets;
  • Distinguish him or herself by implementing innovative customer acquisition strategies;
  • Become a product expert for the available products sold by our client;
  • Maintain a relationship of trust with existing customers in order to optimize sales;
  • Prioritize customers before, during and after sales including but not limited to support and training of customer;
  • Act as brand ambassador among Architects/Designers, general contractors and the commercial real-estate developers;
  • Build and nurture his or her network of potential distributors, resellers and installers;
  • Collaborate with the « HOSPITALITY » division to maximize customers’ revenue growth;
  • Represent the company at events, networking activities and trade fairs;
  • Spare no effort in providing the best possible customer experience;
  • Be available to provide customers with basic technical support.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ideally, hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration or have equivalent experience;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sales and business development (B2B);
  • Ideally, 2-3 years experience in the security & smart access and smart locks business sector;
  • Demonstrable competence in prospection and in corporate sales;
  • Extensive record of successfully meeting and exceeding objectives;
  • Excellent corporate presentation and negotiation skills;
  • Skilled communicator, capable of simplifying technological and technical concepts;
  • Very good sense of organization and planning;
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Natural and solid leadership skills and excellent initiative and creativity;
  • Ability to travel across the province on a regular basis.
