BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - CALGARY

As part of its ambitious growth plan, our client has seen its sales revenues quadruple over the last 2 years and, as a result, they are currently seeking to hire a Business Development Manager in Calgary to join their sales team.
The BDM will be mostly responsible for developing and growing the hospitality business in the province of Alberta. This position is based in Calgary and this role reports directly to the VP Canadian Sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and seize business opportunities to meet and exceed the company’s growth objectives in its territory;
- Develop the hotel sector and promote our client’s full range of products and services;
- Differentiate through innovative customer acquisition strategies;
- Maintain relationships of trust with existing customers to optimize sales organically;
- Ensure professional follow-up of customers before, during and after the sale;
- Build and nurture a network of potential distributors, resellers and installers;
- Represent the company at events, networking activities and trade shows;
- Focus on delivering the best possible customer experience;
- Capture all customer and prospect data in the company’s CRM, to be able to follow up on various sales opportunities, SALES FUNNEL;
- Be available to provide Level 1 technical support to customers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ideally, a university degree in business administration or equivalent experience;
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in sales and representation (B2B);
- Relevant experience selling business solutions to the hospitality industry;
- Demonstrable business prospecting and sales skills;
- Successful track record of meeting and exceeding objectives;
- Excellent corporate presentation and negotiation skills;
- Skilled communicator, capable of popularizing technological and technical concepts;
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
- Ability to juggle and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously;
- Natural leadership, strong sense of initiative and creativity;
- Available for frequent travel across the province.
