CLIENT DESCRIPTION

With an established reputation spanning over 35 years, our client is a Canadian-based company headquartered in Montreal with a satellite office in Oakville. It is recognized as a frontrunner in designing, manufacturing, and distributing products for the hospitality industry. Following significant growth in Canada, where sales revenue has quadrupled in recent years, our client is continuing its expansion into the U.S. market. They are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to lead sales efforts across the West Coast, focusing on key states such as California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and surrounding areas. This remote role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales, Canadian & US Sales Division.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Proactively identify, engage, and close new business opportunities with hotels and hotel chains across the U.S. West Coast, aligning with the company’s regional sales and growth targets.
  • Expand market presence within the hospitality sector by effectively promoting and positioning the company’s full portfolio of products and solutions to prospective clients.
  • Implement innovative strategies to attract and convert new customers;
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive organic sales growth;
  • Ensure thorough and professional follow-up throughout the entire sales cycle;
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with purchasing groups, distributors, resellers, and installers to support regional sales expansion and market penetration.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by representing the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to enhance visibility and generate new business leads.
  • Prioritize an outstanding customer experience at every touchpoint;
  • Accurately document customer and prospect data in the CRM to manage the sales pipeline;

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience;
  • 3 to 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in the hospitality or related industries;
  • Proven success in selling business solutions to the hospitality market;
  • Strong knowledge of the US West Coast;
  • Strong sales prospecting, presentation, and negotiation skills;
  • A history of consistently achieving and exceeding sales goals;
  • Ability to simplify and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences;
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities;
  • Natural leadership and initiative, with a creative, solutions-oriented approach;
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout the US West Coast.
