CLIENT DESCRIPTION

Its tentacles also extend to both public and private sector professional and amateur sports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The organization’s solid growth coupled with its position as a sector leader in Canada has led it to create a new Accounts Manager role. The incumbent will work primarily with public safety sector stakeholders throughout Quebec, and shall develop business development plans to meet sales objectives among customers working in municipal and provincial police forces, in security and fire departments, etc. The individual shall also:

  • Request introductory meetings to develop new business opportunities
  • Develop relationships with public safety decision makers, particularly those working at the municipal, provincial and federal levels
  • Prepare solutions and present business proposals
  • Prepare calls for tenders and respond to solicitations (RFP, RFQ)
  • Work with office furniture retailers to build a network of resellers and maintain excellent business relationships with them
  • Take part in business networking activities with various associations (ARMA, IFMA)
  • Produce activity reports on his or her pipeline and detailing sales opportunities
  • Perform high quality project management and observe established budgets and schedules
  • Create design drawings using 3D software (training provided)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ideally, the incumbent shall hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business administration or have equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a B2B sales or business development role
  • Extensive network of municipal and/or provincial level public safety contacts
  • Strategic development-oriented and focus on prospection of new business opportunities
  • Ability to develop and maintain solid and sustainable business relationships with a network of retailers and resellers
  • Familiar with bidding processes
  • Experience with Lunch and Learn leadership sessions for architects and designers
  • Skilled communicator both in English and French (spoken and written)
  • Good knowledge of major computing tools (Office 365, SharePoint, CRM)
  • Interested in new technologies
  • Positive attitude toward teamwork, autonomy and creativity

ASSETS

  • Experience negotiating with general contractors
  • Ability to read blueprints and to use technical drawing software
  • Knowledge of Zoho (CRM software)
